I need to generate PDF files from Word 2007 docs monthly. There is no problem with most, but with large files (1200-plus pages), Acrobat hangs and can't complete the process. I select the "bare-bones PDF" option.

If you can live without tagging, try turning of "enable accessibility/reflow" from preferences.

But it doesn't help. I even tried turning off the other options at the bottom of the Preferences page.
I have discovered that the 2 docs that will not generate have more embedded screen shots than my other docs. Perhaps that is the problem? A doc that generates okay has more pages that one that will not generate.
For now, i still have access to my old PC (with Word '03 and earlier Acrobat versioin) so I can generate the docs without a problem there. But thisworkaround is not a real fix!
