I scanned in and created searchable PDFs, but find does not find every instance of the word I'm looking for. Find is set to ignore font and should find anything that has the same string of letters in the word that I'm looking for. But on some pages, it does not find these word, why?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.1.1, Windows

Hi,
OCR output of a scanned image of text is not a 100% rendering of the text image.
Find/Search is parsing this OCR output which is the OCR engines "best estimate" and
as such it is to be expected that one's query returns may not be 100%.
While OCR is typically very accurate some variables such as the scan image resolution
and quality of the source paper/text can reduce the accuracy of the OCR output.
There are other variables but these often have the most immediate impact.

Be well...

We have version 9 Acrobat standard and the find function is not working. It does not even find the word"THE"in a 800 page document. Any suggestions

My collegues and I are having similar problems with the find function on Acrobat 9. When we type in the word into the `find` box, Acrobat will find the page where the word is located but will no longer highlight the word. Is there a way to correct this problem?
