I have one mandatory field which allows zero (0) to be accepted as a value. But when I type 0 in that textbox it alerts me that field is blank.

The format of texbox is set to None and Field value is not validated. Pls suggest without.

Thanks,
Hina

How are you validating the field, then? If you use a script, then post it here.

Hello,

I did it from textbox property - "Set As required Field".

This doesn't make sense. The required parameter only applies when the form is submitted. It does not produce any alerts when you just fill it in. There must be something else that causes this alert to appear.

The form says "At least one required field was empty on export. Please fill in the required fields (highlighted) before continuing." when I try to submit the form using Submit button control. And when I fill in 'that' textbox this alert doesn't appears. I think this feature doesn't require any script.

OK, so this alert appears when you're trying to submit the form. That makes more sense...
I just tried the same thing, using the same version, and it works fine for me... Check if there aren't any other scripts in the file that might affect this field.

I think you are absolutely right. I just created a blank form with one textbox and it didn't considered 0 as blank. I am rechecking the document script section.

Sincere thanks for the help.

The issue is resolved but a new issue has raised. When I type the values in textboxes and then save and close the PDF. Now when I reopen that PDF , some textboxes retain their values and some not. E.g Phone #, age, address fields shows what I typed in previously but Name textbox lost its value.

I tried by removing the problematic textboxes and recreating them but no success. Can you suggest what could be the issue? The Extended feature in Adobe Reader is true.

Thanks,
Hina

Again, they're probably reset by a script in another field, or even at the doc-level.
Try re-creating them with another name. Also, make sure you have the option to show the console on errors and warnings. There's usually a lot of useful information there.
