Acrobat Distiller cannot continue because Acrobat is not activated

Hi. I installed Acrobat 8 Professional and it seems that things are working ok, but when I try to convert a Word document to PDF, I get an error message “Acrobat Distiller cannot continue because Acrobat is not activated.”. As mentioned on your website, I tried to use the Help > Repair Acrobat Installation menu command to insure the PDFMaker is working properly with the Office applications, but that didn’t fix the problem. Any comments will be appreciated.

Hi snow2345,

Here is an Adobe TechNote that offers several options to fix this issue-

Note this doc states these solutions are based on use of Classic version of Win XP. If you are using Vista and/or Office 2007, Adobe does not support those yet for Acrobat.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri
