Hi there,
I used acrobat distiller to create a pdf from a Word document and the folowing error command turned up:
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: –œ ‡°± · ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
In a previous forum somebody replied: "It looks like you trying to print the Excel file directly with the Distiller program. This will not work. Distiller can only process PostScript input files and output PDF files. Adobe provides the PDF Maker macro within the MS Office products to convert MS Office products outputs to PS files and then passes that file to Distiller. You can either call the PDF Maker macro or create a PS file from the MS Office product and then distill that file.--------"
I've tried both options:
Unfortunately, when I try to use the acrobat pdf maker buttons in Word, they don’t work and there’s no acrobat option in any of the menus to change the settings (i.e. I want to create bookmarks...). If I just go to PRINT and choose make pdf from there, it does create a pdf, but I can’t change the settings.
I tired to go to PRINT and choose the print pdf to postscript file. it asks me if I want to save the document, it processes something, but then no document turns up anywhere on my computer...
please help...

Rule 1. Distiller only converts PostSript, .PS file type, to the PDF format!
Rule 2. There are no exceptions to rule number 1!
To convert a Word document to a PDF you can use the "PDF Maker" add-in for MS Office to create an interactive PDF from Word or other MS Office product, the produced PDF can have linked bookmarks and active web links. PDF Maker uses both Distiller and Acrobat PDF in this process. Note if you are using MS Office 2007 you will need to have version 8.1 of Acrobat or better. You can also print from Word directly to the Acrobat PDF virtual printer and get PDF like a piece of paper and active URI links if this preference has been selected within the Acrobat application. If you want to use Distiller, you will have to convert your Word document to a PS file by printing to a virtual PS print driver and then using the generated PS file as input to the Distiller program to arrive at a non-interactive PDF..
