Acrobat, Word and Track Changes

Hello,

Does anyone know of any issues with Acrobat interfacing with Word when using Track Changes?

We are using Word 2003 with track changes. If I leave the view as "Final showing Markup" and covert to PDF using Acrobat 8, only half of the cross-reference links work. However, if I change the view to "Final" and convert to PDF, the document converts as expected. Is this a known issue? Bug? User error?

Thanks for the insight!

Yes, there is a known issue with Acrobat 8.1 and Word 2007 (but not Word 2003 specifically) as detailed in the following technical note.

Also, when troubleshooting issues with PDFMaker macros, it is suggested to "Switch to the Normal document view in Word, and then create the PDF file using Acrobat PDFMaker".

Do you have multiple versions of Acrobat installed on your machine? Have you tried renaming your Normal.dot as detailed in Troubleshooting problems with Acrobat PDFMaker. Sometimes this can help resolve the issue.
