ACRORD32INFO.EXE

Using Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard Edition to make PDF files from Microsoft Office 2003 programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) I get a 14K file in memory titled ACRORD32INFO.EXE After a few hours of work I wind up with dozens of these files in memory which brings my PC to a halt.

My questions are (1) what is this file? (2) how can I stop it from eating my memory. For instance, is there a setting or preference in Acrobat which will eliminate it? (3) If the file is essential for the way Acrobat works, why doesn't Acrobat clear it out of memory when the PDF session is done? (4) Is there some way to modify the registry to prevent this file from being created and still have Acrobat work properly?
