Adobe Acrobat X Pro not recognizing scanner

I recently installed Adobe Acrobat X Professional. (ok, reinstalled after a computer crash). We have a Lanier LD045 printer/fax/scanner. I am using the TWAIN network driver downloaded from the Lanier website, for Windows 7 32 bit. We are running Windows 7 Home Premium on the computer, 32 bit. When trying to scan to a PDF, I click on file, create from scanner, custom scan. The dialog asks me to select a device. If I pick the 2045 scanner, it does not recognize the scanner as being there. The scanner works fine, BTW... I am able to scan into other software using the same twain driver.

Has anyone seen anything like this before and/or know of a soluation?

This is a known bug, that is fixed in the Acrobat 10.1.1 Update:
