Append Document from link - authorization failed

Hi,

I've created a new PDF with hyperlinks from a word (2003)-document. The hyperlink is working, it is opening in a new windows when clicking on it.
http://intranet.***.com/Livelink/livelink.exe/open/219077888

But appending this linked document doesn't work, I get this error message:
"Autorisierung fehlgeschlagen http://intranet.***.com/Livelink/livelink.exe/open/219077888"
(german, meaning "authorization failed")

I found a solution for this problem for Acrobat 7, the suggestion was to the settings for Web Capture to open the links in a browser, because the IIS doesn't allow access to programs other than browsers. Unfortunately I didn't found such a setting in the most actual version.

(I've replaced the company's server name by ***, the original link is working.)
Acrobat Standard 9.2, Windows XP, Office 2003

The document contains about 50 links, so appending the documents and changing the links manually doesn't seem to be a reasonble approach.

Thanks for your help,
Gordon

Are you trying to append more content to your existing PDF or to navigate the hyperlinks within the PDF?
Are you viewing this particular PDF in the browser or Acrobat?

Do you have security set on the PDF or was it creating using one of the PDF/A standards?

I was trying to append additional content to an existing pdf. The (original) pdf contains links to other pdf documents. My intention was, to append these to the original pdf by right-clicking the link and "append to document".

The PDF was created with the PDFMaker standard options, without any security settings.
