I'm not really sure where to post this question. Please redirect me if this is not a good place.

When I use acrobat to create a document intending to be viewed on tablets, what do I need to do to enable auto page/column resizing and splitting?

For example, which version of acrobat supports that? Do I need a plug-in? Or do I need another adobe product altogether?

Thanks.

Acrobat Pro 8.1.3, Windows

You're describing "reflow". Reflow is a feature that is associated with a Tagged PDF.
Content reflow is meant to support mobile devices.
While an untagged PDF can have a well formed structure tree created manually this can take some time.
Generally, it is better to master content in an authoring application for which there is robust tag management upfront (FrameMaker, InDesign, PDFMaker for MS Word)and output a Tagged PDF. This PDF will still require a reasonablly small amout of post processing with Acrobat Pro.

Acrobat 5 (Full) and the Pro versions of 6, 7, 8, and 9 support working Tagged PDFs.

Be well...
