Automatic weblinks from scanned doc

I've recently noticed a strange occurence while scanning documents into Acrobat 9.0 standard. Adobe does it's thing beautifully in creating PDF files from my Xerox DocuMate 250, however, it is inserting weblinks (or hyperlinks) for most dollar amounts. There are no links to words, sentences, or other miscellaneous numbers (i.e. dates, account numbers, time, check numbers, etc.). It appears to be only for dollar amounts (X,XXX.XX). Is this because of the decimal point or what? More importantly, how do I avoid this. By the way, the link is "http: [the dollar amount]", so it's not going to an actual website or anything...any ideas?

Thanks

Just curious.
What happens if "Create links from URLs" is unchecked?
Edit > Preferences > select General > in the Basic Tools pane, uncheck "Create links from URLs"But, short of any solution for the PDF creation side, you could try removal of the links.
Advanced > Document Processing > Remove All Links...Be well...

Be well...

Unchecking that box seems to have worked out. I like that other option of removing all the links as well.

Thanks
