automatically set the property to show the bookmarks panel and page

Hi,

I have been using Acrobat since several years. With Version 5.0 and 6.0 we automatically could preset the property to show the "bookmarks panel and page" in the conversion settings.

Since Acrobat 7.0 Standard, there are only 4 tabs Settings, Security, Word, Bookmarks in the Acrobat PDF Maker. In the previous versions, there used to be 5th tab (i think it was called VIEW) which allowed to preset the "bookmarks panel and page".

I know that I can modify the document properties to preset the "bookmarks panel and page" and save the changes. However, since we have to publish a lot of documents it is a bit pane to make these changes manually!

Is there any way (hidden setting, additional scripting or whatever) in doing this automatically without user intervention?

Does Acrobat 7.0 Pro (or 8.0 Pro) have this setting?

Any hints are most welcome!
THANK YOU!

Have you lookd at the "Document Properties" "Initial View" tab, "File => Document Properties..."?

yes I have.

I know that I can modify the document properties to preset the "bookmarks panel and page" and save the changes on a PER FILE BASIS.

However, since we have to publish a lot of documents it is a bit pane to make these changes manually!

So any other ideas would be a great pain relief! :-)

With Acrobat Professional one can create a batch process to set the open options.
