I have this PDF file that has rendered text in it, it is all wrong. Is there anyway I can take all of the rendered text out and ocr it myself to make it right? I tried converting them all to tiff, but the quality of the text was horrible.

Thanks

sounds as if you have an OCR'd file where the page images are of poor quality. that is, you may have page images that can not support reliable OCR results. you can attempt to apply OCR again, but the results may not be any better than what you have. experiment as follows: remove the hidden OCR results by applying 'examine document' (on document menu). on results panel leave selected 'hidden text' and click 'remove' button. save the file (use 'save as' and give the file a name that is not the original file name). apply OCR to the newly saved file. apply 'examine document 'to the new file and investigate the hidden text with 'show preview'. is it any better than the hidden text of the original? (tip: do not use 'clear scan' for this experiment)

thanks for the reply...however, it is not the case of having a poor quality image. It is just hard to get the marker to the right place when I perform redaction to the document. But i will try to test your advise.
