Greetings all,
Hoping this is a simple answer. A user sent me 650+ .PDF files in which it appears that he scanned in at 600 dpi. When I open each of these files, it opens at 356% and is unreadable. Then I have to zoom out to about 125% to make it readable. As I plan on making these files available on a server, is there any way to batch process these files so that when someone opens the document it will be set to 125%? I would like to reduce the annoyance this might create (with opening at 356%).
Additionally, is it possible to reduce the file size and retain the original scan size for zooming (for those that choose to do so)?
Currently using Acrobat 8 Professional.

Yes, you can set the magnification for all the files at once with a Batch Process. Create a new Batch Sequence, click the Select Commands button, choose "Open Options" from the list of available commands and "add" it. Then click the edit button and you will see all the different options available for when the file opens, including magnification. After saving the sequence, you can run this Batch process on a list of PDFs or a whole folder of PDFs, and you can choose where to save the processed files.
