I just upgraded to adobe acrobat 8.0 from 6.0. I have a co-worker on 6.0. For some time both of us had bookmarks automatically created when we file printed to a pdf file.

Now none are generated. Any suggestions on how to get them to auto-generate?

We were printing and not using the adobe creator.

I do not think you printed to the PDF printer since this method in general is no different than printing to paper except a PDF file is created. If you were to printing from MS Word and added special fields that contained PDF Mark commands, it would be possible to have some book marks generated into a PDF file.

Did you use the "Create PDF" Button? Depending on the PDF Conversion Settings this item will create a PDF.

I am using an internet based tax program. I use Pdf, since the files have several hundred pages and don't want to waste paper.

Without any changes to the settings, for about three months all of the documents printed to PDf were bookmarked at the beginning if every page and now they are not.

I'd realy like to have every page bookmarked. It made navigating the large file much easierr.

New tax year, new formats. It might be something your vendor has done to the forms.
