Boomarks and TOC Links not created

Using Acrobat 6.0.1 with Word (Office) 2003:

In Word the Adobe PDF Application settings "Add Links to Adobe PDF" and "Add Bookmarks to Adobe PDF" are selected.

Using the Print menu Adobe PDF option, or the "Convert to Adobe PDF" toolbar option in Word, the PDF is created but with no bookmarks, nor TOC links.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat with same results. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated very much.

Thanks.

Joe

Have you checked the setting in word to make sure the styles your heading use are checked? When I first tried making PDF files from Word and didn't get any bookmarks I discovered the styles I had set up and used were not specified.

Yes, the headings are correct. I should have mentioned that I previously had installed Adobe Acrobat Elements 7 that came with RoboHelp 6, and it was creating the TOC links and bookmarks.

But they don't get created using Acrobat 6.

The reason we are trying to retain Acrobat PRO 6 vs sticking with Elements 7 is the limited feature set available in Elements. Our manager wants to avoid having to spend the money to buy Acrobat 9, which we don't really know will work either.
