Hello,

I have downloaded Acrobat Pro X, 30-day free trial, today and tried to create a PDF/X-1a 2001 compatible file from:

1. a 252 page pdf file created by PDFCreator from a 252 page WORD document
2. a 1 page pdf file created by Serif PagePlus

In both cases, I get "Bounding Box violation: Both TrimBoxes and Artboxes found on following pages ..." where the pages are 1-252 and 1, respectively.

Can someone explain what this means and what I can do to correct it?

Thanks for your help

Alas, neither PDF Creator nor Serif Page Plus are Adobe products.
Acrobat X PDFMaker supports Office 2003, 2007, and 2010 (32-bit).
There are Distiller job options available with Acrobat X that support Word to PDF/X-1a output PDF.
Using such would be the most effective path for PDF/X-1a output.
However, your output PDF from the other applications appear to be providing PDF that is "off" in some manner.
Perhaps either applications help/support can provide guidance.

Be well...
