Can I...

Let me begin by saying I am new to this forum and a relative novice when it comes to Acrobat. I work for a car dealership and one lender requires some forms that our software package does not print. Traditionally the salesmen fill in the information by hand. Unfortunately I have terrible handwriting and it is VERY important that the forms be legible.

Recently, I noticed that these documents are available as a download in a .pdf "form" format. The user can fill in information like customer name, address, vehicle identification number, etc. and then print the form. There are four of these documents and I would like to streamline the process by creating a [I'm not sure what it's called] where I could input the relevant information and then have it propagate to required documents.

Is something like that possible?

One thing to consider is to combine these 4 forms to a single file. Then any fields with the same name (like "Customer Name") will automatically have the same value, so you enter it once and it will auto-populate the others as well with the same value.
You can then print just the ones you need.
Any other solution would involve scripting and would be more complex.

Thanks for the help. I presume that I could create a fifth "master" form that provides a location to input all the required data on one page and then it will auto-populate from there? The reason I ask is there is some data that doesn't appear on all four documents and it seems it would be easier to have the user fill in all the information in one place rather that scrolling through a bunch of pages looking for empty fields.

Do you mean that you will combine the four forms to a single file, and then add the "master" form to that same file? If so, then yes, it will auto-populate the other forms, as long as you use EXACTLY the same names for the fields.
