The accounting dept uses a piece of software titled, AUDIT-LEA. It looks like a spreadsheet when entering data. The third column contains the budget codes. The budget code is 4 characters in length. The accountant generates reports using built-in reports from the menus. The hard copies print out and appear on screen perfectly. The problem is when he prints to "Adobe PDF" in the print menu. The budget codes in the third column are truncated to show only the first 3 characters. The 4th character is missing. The accountant has no control over column width, font or font size in the built-in reports. We do not know what font the report is using. Any thoughts on how to get the 4th character to appear in the column? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
"Adobe PDF" in an application's print menu sends the print job to the Adobe printer driver installed when the
Acrobat product is installed. "Adobe PDF" will direct Adobe Distiller (also installed with the Acrobat product) to
process the print job.
Look over "Adobe PDF" preferences.
Right click on the entry/icon and click on Printing Preferences or click on the Preferences button.
In the dialog window that appears, locate "Default Settings".
Upon install, Distiller's default job option is "Standard".
Click on the "Edit" button adjacent to the "Default Settings" entry.
The Adobe PDF Settings dialog should present itself.
The settings for "General" should be shown. Observe the Default Page Size.
If the Distiller job option default page size is less than the report's page size
the output PDF will be truncated.
Match the Distiller job option page size to the report's page size.
Alternatively, open Adobe Distiller and click Settings > Edit Adobe PDF Settings...
You may want to select/check the "Show All Settings" box located at the lower left.
This will let you see all available, installed job options.
Again, establish the desired Default Page Size.
Save As to create a new job option.
Use this job option to print the reports to Adobe PDF.
