Converting microsoft Publusher file to PDF

I am having a devil of a time when converting a Microsoft Publisher File to a PDF. After saving file as a PDF Adobe Acrobat Reader is changing the image sizes that I have inserted. Since I am producing patterns, this is a real problem. I need the images to stay the same size as the scanned images I am inserting into the document. Does anyone have an answer as to why Adobe reader does this and what I can do to solve the problem? Thanks
