Converting PowerPoint to pdf

I have PowerPoint file that I have minimized to 146 kb yet when I convert to pdf it becomes 2.72 MB. Can someone help me figure out how to minimize the size to under 2 KB? I believe the original PowerPoint 97-2003 compatible document was created with a MAC.
