Converting Publisher file to pdf

When attempting to convert a Publisher file (10-12 pg document) to a pdf file it says it is creating and gets to 30% complete and stops. Then I get an error message that says it failed. What am I doing wrong? How can I correct this?

Is there a log file produced?

If so, what are its contents?

Not all the formatting features or fonts used by MS Office products can be converted to the PDF format.

I've got the same error message (offending command: pp_clip)%%
and have no idea how to solve this.
Can anyone help?
