For Acrobat Professional 8 (Windows) - From the Task bar > Create PDF > From File... > From the Open dialog, browse to the *.tiff file(s) Select the *.tiff > click on the Open button > Save the PDF.OCR the PDF file. From the Menu bar > Document > OCR Text Recognition > Recognize Text Using OCR In the Recognize Text - Settings dialog - Select Primary OCR Language, PDF Output Style, &, as appropriate, Downsample Images value. Save the PDF. Use Find (Ctrl+F) to find text.
