I'm having an issue when running Acrobat 6.0 and MS Office 2003. Although all my links (to URLs on the web) are intact when I'm in the word file, as soon as I convert to PDF, the links are inactive. I tried creating a bookmark (I'm kind of glad that didn't work, that would've been QUITE A PROCESS!! we have ALOT OF LINKS) and I tried going to advanced editing under the tools menu to add links, and I've also tried configuring the Trust Manager to make sure that URLs are enabled when I convert the file over from Word. I was told by the salesperson at Adobe that 8.0 Standard will allow for links to be active when converted from Word, I wasn't specific that I have 2003. I'm running out of options. Is it possible to format and design a document with hyperlinks to the web and all and convert them to a PDF with any version of Acrobat, Pro or Standard? If so which version. Or is this a MS Word 2003 issue? Yeah I think that was what I wanted to ask! :) one more thing, the LINK is not spelled out in the Word file, for example if it were a link to www.acrobatusers.com the actual words showing might be "Acrobat User Forum" ok, NOW I'm off that soapbox.
You have Office 2003 and Acrobat 6. However, Office 2003 support was added to Acrobat only in Acrobat version 7. You should try Acrobat 8 and use the Create PDF toolbar it provides in Office to get your links.
