Hi,
I'm trying to convert a Word doc (205 pages) to PDF.
I'm using a Mac ( Version 10.4.11) and Word (Version 11.4.2), Acrobat 8 Professional (Version 8.1.2)
When I select to Create PDF from within Acrobat I get the following message:
"Acrobat could not open mrl.doc because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF or use the Acrobat toolbar found in Microsoft Office applications."
This document does not appear to be damaged.
When I try to create it from the document I have a problem with a section break in the document.
When I try to convert to PDF from within Word I get 3 single documents which are separated at the point of the section break. I can combine these documents into a single PDF but then I have bookmarks in the PDF document showing each of the three pages used to combine the document into a single PDF. I don't want this bookmark to show up in the document.
Is there a way to work around this section break issue and not have bookmarks showing up in the finished PDF?
Thanks for any insight you can offer.
