When I try to convert a Word document to pdf more often than not it will crash Word. It doesn't always happen and sometimes after 2 or 3 tries it will work, sometimes never. I cannot duplicate this on another machine so....is it wrkstn related or Microsoft or?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks.

Hi -

It's hard to know why it happens on that one machine. It may be the Word configuration, Distiller, or Acrobat.

To place less stress on your machine, in Word, choose Adobe Acrobat > Change Conversion Settings to open the dialog box. Deselect the option on the General tab to view the results in Acrobat (you see it when the dialog box opens). That setting is often the culprit.donna.

Thanks but I'm no longer at that workplace so won't be able to follow up on that. Thanks anyways.

Have you made sure you have completed the Word's "User Information" under the "Tools => Options"?
