Creating Hyperlinks with Acrobat 8.1 Pro

When I create documents from MS Word on Adobe Professional 8.1.1 on my Windows XP machine, it not only fails to underline e-mail links, but instead of creating hyperlinks as such, it creates them as a block of text that is labeled "!HYPERLINK" or some such. Why is it doing this and how can I make it create the links as blue-colored, underlined links?

Acrobat Pro 8.0999999999999996447286321199499070644378662109375, Windows

Hi whtknt,

Do you have your print field codes turned on when creating the PDF? If so try the following:

In Microsoft Word Chose - Tools > Options > Print > and deselect the Field Codes option.Otherwise, the links show up in the PDF as {hyperlink"http://www.adobe.com"} and don't link properly.

Keep us posted if this corrects the problem,
Lori

When I create documents from MS Word on Adobe Professional 8.1.1 on my Windows XP machine, I want to put in the document a URL that can be copied and pasted into a browser window. But I am unable to highlight and copy the URL (or anything else) on the PDF. What should i do? The Field Codes are already deselected.
