After downloading the update to Acrobat 8 Standard, I cannot create a PDF file "From Scanner" anymore. This error message appears "Adobe Acrobat 8.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" and it asks me if I want to send an error report to Microsoft.
What can I do?

You have to repair your program. Choose Help > Repair Acrobat Installation. You'll have to close open programs that are associated with Acrobat's installation, such as Word. When the repair is complete, try again.donna.
