I'm trying to convert word documents that have links to external documents using acrobat 6.0 standard. I have tried print in word and create in acrobat, but both seem to strip off the links in the created pdf. Is there some way to do this in acrobat 6.0 standard?

Have you checked the conversion settings for the "Create PDF Button" in Word. From Word's menu bar you have to select "Adobe PDF => Change Conversion Settings" and then on the "Settings" tab and check the "Add links to Adobe PDF" option.

I don't have a option to create the pdf in word. The only way I have been able to do it is via printing to acrobat. I'm not sure if this is just the way acrobat 6.0 standard works or if there is a wierd installation issue.

Did you istall Acrobat's "PDF Maker"?

It is an optional item in the install process.
