Creating PDFs from Visio hyperlink issue

I have many shapes in a Visio document that have hyperlinks to files. The hyperlinks contain a question mark and equal signs. When converting this document to a PDF, everything after and including the question mark is omitted. This seems to be an issue with Acrobat. For example, the hyperlink to somefile with the parameter of id=wx8843 (somefile.cfm?ID=wx8843) is truncated to (somefile.cfm). Is there a solution to this?

Do you use the PDFmaker macro to create your PDF? Also, do you have all the updates for Acrobat 7 (7.0.9)? Earlier versions of Acrobat 7 did have an issue with some hyperlinks.

Yes I do to both. It seems that Acrobat does not like having '?' within hyperlinks. Does Acrobat 8 Pro have the same issue?

Have you tried using a fully qualified pathname like c:\temp\file.cfm? I've see this issue come up with Acrobat 8 and Office 2007. What version of Visio are you using?

Visio 2003 and full pathname does not work either. I'm downloading the trial for 8 pro. Keeping my fingers crossed.
