Default bookmark zoom Acrobat 9 Pro

I have set the default initial view of my PDF to a zoom of 92.1% (don't ask!), w/the bookmarks pane open. When I page thru the document with the arrow keys, the view stays at 92.1%, which is what I want.

But when I click on a bookmark, the view adjusts to Fit Page. I've tried changing this in multiple places but it keeps going back to this default. I want the viewer to see the PDF at 92.1% when they click on a bookmark, too.

How do I do this? I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro (just upgraded from 8 yesterday) on Vista. Thanks for any help.

set the bookmark's properties (action tab | edit | zoom) to inherit zoom

Thank you! I applied this to all bookmarks (selecting all of them to do it all at once) & it works. Much appreciated.Adobe help wasn't much help on this.

Hi, I have a question as a Reader user, not a PDF creator, but I have only found this topic in the PDF Creation area. When I click a bookmark the image size reverts to "fit page" no matter what I've set it to before! I've tried every Preference I can think of, to no avail.

Any suggestions?

without the acrobat program there is nothing you can do because the creator set the bookmark's target page to open at the particular zoom.

I tried to do the same thing in Acrobat 9 pro and it reset all the books marks to the same location. Do you have to individually change the properties of every bookmark? Is there a way to set the default to fit page for any new bookmarks created?

Thanks in advance...

the zoom on exsiting bookmarks must be reset one by one

the zoom on a new bookmark is set at the zoom value existing when the bookmark is created

Another way to change the zoom for a selection of bookmarks using adobe 8 pro, is to firstly select the bookmarks in question then open the properties dialog box. Select the Actions tab and press the Add... button in the "Add an Action" field. Select "View>Zoom>Fit Page" or whatever zoom selection you wish and then press ok.
You should now see "Execute a menu item" in the Actions box. Press ok. Now when you select your bookmark it should be set to the required zoom.

I think I want to do the same with a PDF that I have.

This wouldn't work with Acrobat Pro 7, would it?

I want the zoom on all bookmarks to be "Inherit Zoom", under the radical theory that the viewer has it set the way they want and the document should leave it that way.

That works great for every setting except Inherit Zoom, which doesn't appear on that menu.

Is there any way to apply Inherit Zoom other than doing each bookmark individually?

I have developed a tool that can do that to multiple files in a single go:
