:Just installed 7.0. never used Acrobat before. I scanned a doc. into 7.0. I need to change some info in it. Tried "Touch up" thingie, but can't delete and replace or anything. Please Help a Newbie!!...
The Touch Up Text Tool works only on "real" text, not the scanned image of text.

You can't change text on a scanned document unless you first convert the document to text....I really appreciate this answer and don't want to sound like an idiot (ok,so I do). But...How do I change a "scanned" doc. into a "real" one? Thanx in advance for answering. Oh yeah, I promise the doc. I need to alter is for absolutely legitimate purposes.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 7.0.0, Windows

Okay, let's start over. First off, when you scan a document in Acrobat it comes in as a raster image (like a photo). The document is made up of pixels with no recognizable text.

To recognized the text you need to use an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) program. Fortunately, Acrobat provides you with an OCR feature built right into Acrobat Professional.

After scanning your file into Acrobat and the file open in the Document pane, select Document > Recognize Text Using OCR > Start. Acrobat will convert the raster data to recognizable text.To learn more about scanning in Acrobat, take a look at Donna Baker's article right here on Acrobat Users at: http://www.acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2007/skinny_on_scanning_touchup/
