Hello,

I have a word doc that has a footer that consists of two lines. When converted to a PDF, the bottom line of the footer is cut off. Here are the system properties:

OS- Windows XP Pro
MS Office Version- 2003
Versions of Adobe- Problem was occurring in Acrobat 7; I uninstalled Acrobat 7 and installed Acrobat 8 pro. The problem still occurs.

I have tried setting the default printer as the Adobe Acrobat printer before opening the Word doc, but this does not resolve the issue.

Oddly, other people who log into this PC do not experience the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.0, Windows

If other folks logging into the computer don't experience the issue then it may be related to your Word preferences. How are you converting your Word file to PDF? PDFMaker macro or printing to the Adobe PDF printer? In Word 2003, under Tools > Options > Compatibility tab do you have "Use printer metrics to lay out document" checked?

We experience the problem when we create PDF's via the macro (from the toolbar icon) and also when printing the Word doc to the Adobe PDF printer .

The "use printer metrics..." option was not checked. I checked that option, set it as default, and tried to create the PDF again from the Word doc. Unfortunately, I still experienced the issue

If you do a Print preview in Word with the Adobe PDF printer selected are you able to see the entire footer?

No, the footer is cut off. When selecting other printers, it looks fine in Print Preview

What is your page size in Acrobat?

If I open the PDF file that I created and go to File- Properties- page size shows up as 8.5 x 11 in
