Using AutoCAD 2008 and Acrobat Pro 7

I have multiple .dwg files that need to be converted into 1 PDF. When I plot/publish these files from AC to pdf format, it creates a pdf for each one and opens them with a "save as" dialog box, I then have to compile them into one file. Is it possible for me to bypass the save as dialog box and automatically save as the file name?

It would also be nice if it combined all the pdfs into one file when created, but I think I'm pushing it a bit..

Acrobat Pro 7.0, Windows

Kitch,
Perhaps this will help.

Acrobat 7.0 (Professional & 3D) can
Quote:
• Create Adobe PDF files from popular engineering applications including
AutoCAD,® Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project (Windows only)

Additionally, the matrix identifes that Acrobat 3D, Professional, and Standard
can perform the "combine" function.

Combine files from multiple formats into a single Adobe PDF file
So, from with Windows Explorer. you ought to be able to select the AutoCAD files, right click for the context menu and select "Combine Support Files in Acrobat...".

Step through the dialogs. The output PDF (a single file) will contain the selected AutoCAD files.

You will have to provide the desired file name if the default (binderX.pdf , X is a positive integer that increments from "1").

As you use AutoCAD 2008 you may find that, to have the file support from Acrobat, you will have to upgrade to the current Acrobat release or, if available, to Acrobat 8. Remember, the Acrobat 7 release was replaced by the Acrobat 8 release in the fall of 2006.
