In printing to PDF a DWG file, fine gray lines appear within any solid hatched area and are only visible when viewing the PDF from a computer....they do not show when printed to a hard copy.

I have tried installing latest service pack for AutoCAD but to no avail.

System:
Windows XP
AutoCAD LT 2007
Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0

Please help.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.0, Windows

This is only an effect on the monitor if the hatching is shown not with a 100% zoom.
Watch the hatched area with different zoom factors, you will see the lines will disappear sometimes and sometimes the will come back or change their appearance.

This is not the case, for no matter the zoom, these lines show. Of course one sees more of them when zoomed in.

Sounds like a render artifact from the graphics card. Try going into Acrobat's preferences/page display menu and toggling the "enhance thin lines" and "2D graphics acceleration" options - one of which might fix the problem.

Through the page display menu, toggled off 'smooth line art' and the fine lines disappeared, but now I am faced with jagged text and details...the other options had no impact. Wondering if there is a way to adjust the smooth line art option? Or maybe treat the text as something different then line art?
