Hi, I have a guidelines in PDF and i need to translate it. I´m doing in Illustrator CS2 but the result file is very heavy. The original file size is 7,2MB and the pdf translated is 76,4 MB when i save in Illustrator. I can reduce it in acrobat 7 PRO to 45 MB and i don´t check the illustrator editing capabilities but the file is too heavy yet.
What can i do?
Is it posible to fix this problem with the CS3 version?.
Thank You and sorry for my poor english.

Illustrator is not a PDF editor, never was intended for this task. Only use Acrobat or another third-party PDF editor. So, CS3 won't be any help (except for Acrobat part). Use PDF Optimizer in Acrobat to Audit Space Usage. From here you can see what elements are taking up so much room. Typically it is high resolution images. You can use PDF Optimizer to downsample images, too.

Finally, always use Save As to clean up the file after making any changes. This will clear out any extraneous information.
