Yes, Acrobat supports mp3, mp4 & other file types using H.264.

Actually it depends on what you mean by "HTML5 video" - there is no longer a definition in the RFC as to what codecs should be supported, and many videos being posted to HTML5 sites at the moment use Google's "WebM" format - although Adobe have confirmed future support for this codec in Flash Player, it's not supported by Acrobat yet. There are also a fair number of OGG Vorbis files out there (from the original RFC) and those aren't supported at all.
