I'm sure this is not the first time this question has been asked, but here goes again.
I created a Word doc with embedded links, i.e., highlight some word or phrase and make it a link. I also simply pasted full URLs into the doc also. The embedded links do not work. The full URLs do. To get the embedded links to work, I have to go into Acrobat 7.0 Professional, highlight the text and create a link. What a pain in the butt when you have 31 documents with a gazillion links....
I have looked all over the Internet for a solution, and obviously I'm not coming up with the answer, otherwise I wouldn't be here. The closest thing I found to solving the problem was to use iPages 2 (Mac program). You open the doc in iPages and then export it as a pdf. Supposedly it works, but I don't have iPages 2, and probably won't buy it because I use about 4 different machines.
Does anyone know what the issue is here, or of a free workaround for this?
Thanks,
Raleigh
In MSWord, Choose "Change Conversion Settings" on the "Adobe PDF" menu.
On the "Settings" tab, find the "Application Settings" area.
The box next to "Add links to Adobe PDF" should be checked.
Hope this helps!
