RE: Adobe Professional 8.0 I have converted a Word document to pdf, but did not embed the fonts with the conversion. Is there a way to embed fonts in this finished PDF document without having to go back to the source document? I tried exporting the pdf back to Word which changed the formatting. What would you suggest? Thanks,
Joe

Hi jlcacibauda,

The best way to preserve the appearance of your document is to embed fonts at the time of creation. As a PDF moves around to various systems, each system may not have the same fonts installed.

However, if you don't have access to the original Word file, you can use the Touch Up Text Tool to embed fonts. Tools --> Advanced Editing --> Touch Up Text Tool.
Select the text you want to embed then right-click and select Properties. Select the font you would like to embed and then save the document.

Hope this helps,
Lori
