Error message - Converting Word Document to Adobe PDF

I have:

Word 2007
Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.1.2

I'm trying to create a PDF from Windows Explorer. If I right click a Word document, and select Create Adobe PDF, I receive an error message that says:

"An Unexpected Error Occurred. PDF Maker was unable to produce the Adobe PDF."

I have tried going into Adobe and selecting Help --> Repair Adobe Reader Installation, and then restarted my computer. This did not fix the problem.

I am able to produce a pdf from other files, such as Excel. I am also able to produce a pdf if I print to Adobe PDF from Word, or while having Word open, going to Acrobat --> Create PDF.

I have tried both Word 2007 and Word 97-2003 compatible files. Both were unable to produce a pdf, and resulted in the error message above.

Would uninstalling and reinstalling help perhaps?

Thank you.

First, make sure your version of Word is personalized as mentioned in the following technical note:
