Error when converting word document to PDF

I'm trying the very simple function of converting an MS Word document to PDF, but it's not working! I'm using Acrobat Pro 9.3.2 and MS WOrd in Office 2007. Whether I use the office plug-in on the word menu, or the command to create a PDF from inside Acrobat, makes no difference, all the file converts to is blank pages (although the file does have the same number of blank pages as the word file) and I get the following message:

"An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem". Then I close the error box and see nothing but blank pages in the pdf.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong with the program here and what I can do?

A shot in the dark, but have you checked Word's printing preferences to see if it is set to print Hidden Text? And does the document have any hidden text?

No, but your clue actually helped me nonetheless. There was no hidden text in the document, but there WAS an MS Visio object pasted in, which the converter didn't like. Once I removed the Visio object, converted it to jpeg and pasted it back in, problem was solved. Thanks!

Great! Glad that worked for you.
