Error while converting PS file to PDF

When I try to open .PS file thru Acrobat Distiller, it give me the following error:

"Acrobat Distiller has encountered a problem and needs to close. ...."

and when I try to close the application, gives an application error:

"The instruction at "0x0045c9e5" referenced memory at "0x0206ebdc". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program"

Can somebody help! to overcome this problem

If the problem appears with every PS file it might be the the installation of your Distiller is corrupt.
You should reinstall your Acrobat and see what happens.

No Luck!

I re-installed Acrobat 7.0 pro, but still gives me the same error.
