You don't mention where or into what program you are dragging the files, but it may not matter because Adobe does not yet support Office 2007 or Vista for use with Acrobat. Below are 2 official Adobe docs that explain their plan for supporting Vista and Office 2007 (note that support is planned for Acrobat 8 only- they state there are no plans to provide this support for earlier versions).
