I have a heavy word document consist of 400 pages with image, header, footer... which is written in English and Persian font. I tried to make a PDF with acrobat professional 8.1.1 in any possible way (include or exclude quick/full - tag/no tag - bookmark/no bookmark ...). After taking 5 to 40 minutes (depend on which option is selected) acrobat shows a message which says:

acrobat fails to save the pdf file

and nothing more.
help me with this crazy error plz.

My Product Information:

Several suggestions....see if one or any of these help.

1. Try "print as" pdf
2. Try printing a limited range of pages, perhaps chapter by chapter....
3. See this page: http://tinyurl.com/v46j which lets you download a plug-in from Microsoft for Word 2007 which lets you save as a PDF without going through Acrobat. If it works you can then open it in Acrobat.

Hope any of these might help.....

Acrobat is probably the program I use most often and I'm learning more every day.

Does Acrobat 9 have a plug-in or addition that will help convert Persian (Farsi) documents that include table of contents and index to pdf? My 120 page document generates an error and does not convert to pdf.

bahar,
Acrobat 8.0 (all regions/languages) was released before Vista and Office 2007 were released.
So, no Acrobat 8.0 supports Vista or Office 2007.

Support for Vista and Office 2007 starts with the update 8.1 to Acrobat.
So, you will have to update Acrobat.

Looking at the Acrobat update page
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
I believe you could use the 6/23/2008 update "Acrobat 8.1.2 Standard Security Update 1".
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3976

This appears to be the only update to the Acrobat 8.0 release that is for the middle east.

Quote:
This multilingual update can be applied to English, French, German, Japanese, Danish, Dutch,
Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional,
Korean, Bulgarian, Czech, Estonian, Greek, Croatian, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Polish, Romanian,
Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Arabic, and Hebrew versions
of Acrobat 8 Professional, Standard, or 3D.
Alternatively, you could look into getting Acrobat 9.

Bon dia bahar,
The post at this link below may be helpful.

In the post's thread there are links to information on Middle East / Central European versions of Acrobat.
UVSAR's post to the thread provides an important, fundamental that is good to remember.

bahar,
First, the obvious, did you carefully enter the correct serial number?
Yes? Then I suspect it is time to call/contact Adobe Customer Support.

The Knowledgebase homepage is:

Try Search for "serial number" in "Acrobat Pro" &/or "Acrobat Professional"Be well...
