Faxing pdfs

We use XP fax to send out documents created with Adobe Acrobat Standard 7. This has worked great. We recently upgraded to Adobe Acrobat 8. When we send a pdf document to the "Fax" printer, it defaults to a "0" in the "number of copies" field in the printer window and is grayed out. This causes the fax print window to close. If the document is created and opened with Adobe 7 this field defaults to 1 and the fax print wizard functions correctly. Is there something in Adobe 8 that needs to be configured so that the pdf documents can be sent to the XP Fax printer correctly?

May be a bug or a problem using your Fax printer. First check to see if an upgrade exists for the Fax printer. If not, try contacting Adobe Technical Support and see if they have the problem logged as a known bug.
