File read error

Hi,

I've installed Adobe Acrobat as part of the CS4 suite. I'm running Windows 7 64bit. Both Windows and CS4 are English. However, because I live in The Netherlands, I use the "," as decimal separator and "." as thousands separator.

When I print from any program (even the printer test page) to pdf I get the error "File read error" followed by the location of the joboptions file. I've checked some entries on this forum and found that the issue is with the regional settings. When I change the separators to the US standard, I can indeed print to pdf. But that's not what I want. I would like to keep the European separators and be able to print to pdf.

Anybody have an idea how to solve this?

Thanks.

Do you see any error messages when you launch Distiller?

Hi,
When I start Distiller with European settings, I can't select the default settings, the list is empty. When I select menu "Settings" and then "Edit Adobe PDF Settings", I get the error "Could not open the file..." followed by the path to the joboptions. When I change to US settings, it all works.
The joboptions file is installed as readonly, but removing the readonly doesn't make a difference.
Thanks.
