I recently upgraded from 6 Pro to 8 Pro. The files produced by scanning in 8 are humongous in size. I scan a monthly report that is usually around 250kb. The November report scanned in 8 was over 2.2mb. This can't be intended. What can I do about it?

For a 10x increase in size, it sounds like you might be scanning in color instead of black-and-white. Make sure all your scanner -control settings are the same as before, and let us know if there's still a problem.
