Flash Catalyst, video and interactive PDF

I want to create an interactive PDF specifically using a published FC swf (offline view version) with flv video and animation. The problem I'm having is with video playback inside the pdf. EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS EXCEPT VIDEO! It's as if Acrobat is not reading the asset folder created by FC. All animations work and even the video control (skin) appears! Just....no....video!

How do I do this with Flash Catalyst? Why does everything work BUT the video playback when I publish from FC? WHAT AM I MISSING OR DOING WRONG?!!! What extra steps does Acrobat require with Flash Catalyst that it doesn’t seem to need with InDesign?

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated! If you have ANY suggestions or thoughts….please feel free to share!!! Thanks in advance for all your help.

P.S. Would you please do me a favor: Create an FC project WITH ONLY VIDEO. Place an flv video file (with wireframe or standard controls) inside FC. Run project in your browser first. (This should work fine.) Then, publish to SWF (offline view version). Afterwards, place that SWF inside Acrobat using the ADD/ADD DIRECTORY and RESOURCES options and see if it plays inside the pdf. This is where I'm stuck!!

Thanks

It should work fine (and does if you get it right).

Once exported, in Acrobat use the Multimedia / Flash Tool and choose Main.swf from the run-local folder.

Under Resources, choose Add Directory and select the assets folder. The video file will appear in the array, with the correct relative path, along with whatever else is in there (skins, etc).

You can ignore the history folder and the playerProductInstall.swf file in the root folder.
