Font and margin shrinking after conversion from Word to PDF.

We are experiencing shrinking fonts when converting word files into PDF files. I've experienced this when using Arial font, but not sure if it happens with other fonts or not. When we convert a Word file it slightly shrinks the font and increases the margins. The spacing and page flow stays the same, it is just making an 11 pt. font appear smaller. In Word, an 11 pt font produces a document that is consistently 15 cpi or less, but after the conversion it is more often 16 cpi. Please advise. Thanks!

Hi, does any one have a solution to this as I am also getting the same problem at work.
I am creating PDF from an excel file adobe standard v7 and excel is office 2003.
I have tried upgrading to adobe standard pro v9 and still the same error. We also use Arial and font size 11. When converted the left hand margin is bigger than the original document, and the font is smaller/shrunk
TIA

Beware : Office 2003 is not supported by PDF-Maker 9 (Acrobat 9).
