When I use the PDF printer to convert websites to PDF files, I'm ending up with mostly gibberish in my files. These web pages don't have any unusual fonts--just your usual sans serif stuff. But my PDF files are coming out with symbols.

Any ideas? I didn't have this problem with version 9. It has only been since moving to version X.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 10.0.2, Windows

this was posted under the heading of acrobat x..... The current version of Acrobat X (10.0.2) doesn't support IE9. It's possible that this is the issue. Here are the current system requirements:

hope this helps V 10.0.3 is available now and if your pdf printer gives error messages after updating, delete the pdf printer, open acrobat x and click on repair acrobat this will put the pdf printer that distiller uses back to where it should be

Issue
When printing from Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) to the Adobe PDF Printer, the resulting PDF file may have missing or garbled text.

Solution
Uncheck the option 'Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts' from the Adobe PDF Settings tab within the Adobe PDF printer preferences dialog box.

To access the Adobe PDF printer preferences dialog box, please perform the following steps:

Open the Printers and Faxes (Windows XP), Printers (Windows Vista) or Devices and Printers (Windows 7) folder.
Right-click the Adobe PDF printer and choose 'Printing Preferences'.
On the Adobe PDF Settings tab, uncheck to option 'Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts.'
Click OK to close the printer preferences dialog box.

Thanks a million, stressed! I tried the first solution (ensure I'm running 10.0.3 (I was), then delete printer, then repair), and that didn't work. The second one did work, though. Once I un-checked that option, printing from IE9 started working correctly.
